Doctoral Students Receive AARC Awards

Counselor Education doctoral students Michelle Mitchell and Seungbin Oh are Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling (AARC) award recipients.

Mitchell was selected as an AARC Emerging Leader. The program was designed to provide graduate counseling students and new professionals early in their careers with cultivating experiences that support leadership skills and competency development.

Oh received the $500 Donald Hood Student Research Grant . The annual grant program recognizes and honors students who are seeking to complete research investigations that show promise for outstanding contributions to the counseling profession.

Mitchell and Oh received their awards during AARC’s 2017 National Assessment and Research Conference in Phoenix, Arizona in September.
